We Are Adopting!

Today, I polished up our Holiday cards complete with adoption announcements. It's so exciting to share our good news with friends and family.

Adoption Dream

“Do you want to do something beautiful for God? There is a person who needs you. This is your chance.” Mother Theresa

Michael and I smiled around our newly decorated Christmas tree. 5...4...3...2...1. Flash. My phone snapped a beautiful moment; we each held packages symbolizing our dream. A girl and a boy...soon. As we pursue private adoption, we will reach out to friends and family asking for prayer as we move forward. How the Lord brings us our little gift(s) will bring him glory. For now, we are sharing our story in the hope that others join us for the journey.

Christmas Ornaments

Gazing at our Christmas ornaments, I view a sea of "Michael & Joy" homemade ones. Every year, my mom gives us something to celebrate our life and family. Last year, our beautiful nieces each handcrafted some. On our tree rest a series of memories that celebrate our lives apart and now together.

Baby's First Christmas

“If anybody understands God’s ardor for his children, it’s someone who has rescued an orphan from despair, for that is what God has done for us. God has adopted you. God sought you, found you, signed the papers, and took you home.” Max Lucado

We are looking forward to hanging an ornament titled, "Baby's First Year" next year. Lord willing we will have many homemade ornaments to decorate our tree in the years to come...ornaments made with love and sticky fingers. We can't wait to start making memories!
